Here's mom with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Yes, we made it up to the top of the Arch de Triomphe by stairs. Mom guesses there were about 5,000 of them :o)

When we were young, poor and galavanting around Paris we took the stairs at the Eiffel tower. I think there really were 5000 of them. Anything to save the $8 ticket for the elevator.
