Oh how I love Switzerland

Switzerland, I'm coming back to you! I leave on Monday for 2 weeks in Suisse and I can hardly believe it. Suddenly my profile pic REALLY started to annoy me. I had to get rid of scarfy head. So I decided since I'm going back to Switzerland that I should use this pic of me in Gruyere last year. It's pretty much my favorite ever. Posted by Picasa

I definitely enjoyed the time I spent in Luzerne while stationed in Germany.

Definitely grab a Donar Kebob or two!

And some spaghetti ice, assuming they do it there as well as in Germany.

Spaghetti ice?!?

Thankfully, I'm sitting here with my Swiss German housemate..."Spaghetti ice" is icecream that has been pressed through a machine that normally makes noodles. "Eis" ("ice") is also used for icecream in German. I can probably get this when I'm in Zurich except that it's not the season for such treats.

As for the kebabs, we have plenty of Lebanese in Brazza to serve us those, although I might have to get a kebab plate in Neuchatel just for sentimental reasons.

I'm looking forward to awesome salads, fondue, tasty cooked veggies, real milk and of course chocolate!

Mmmm kebabs. How come every time I think about Switzerland I get hungry? Where is that in Gruyere? We ate at this weird cafe that was made to be like the skeleton of an alien or something. But I had yummy food! You are going to have such a great time, I'm so jealous!

So there's this precedent now being set that everyone comes back six months after they leave. That seems like an expensive precedent that I don't know if I'll be continuing or not, at least not that soon. I look forward to meeting you though, I'm sure I'll run into you at some point.

Hey Angi! Yeah, I wouldn't have thought I'd be returning so soon either, although it's actually been almost a year since I left Neuch (already!). But you have no idea of the irristible pull of Switzerland!

More than that, the fact remains that I need to take a vacation in order to stay sane and I really didn't have any less expensive options because no matter where I go it's expensive to leave Congo. But with all my friends who will be taking care of me, I really won't have that many expenses besides travel. OK, see you soon!
