Thankfully, right as the sun was slipping behind the hills, the wench and the digging successfully freed us and we were on on way home.

Now I know the time difference! I posted that comment at 7:41 pm your time and it's 10:41 am here! You're 9 hours ahead just like Switzerland!

Lebo!
Woohoo! Now that's what I expected when I knew my friend was going to Africa - washed out roads, huge scary spiders, relentless insects and questionable hygeine! :) Well, I guess not hygeine so much...more like unchlorinated murky water - but still. So pumped for you - what a great adventure. We love being updated. Hey...you want visitors any time soon? :)

I've been stuck like this many times while 4-wheeling, but I have never had the assistance of a wench. Did she help with the digging?

(Perhaps you meant 'winch')

Thanks for the giggle.

I was also a bit shocked that 'bold would refer to anyone in such a way... I'd always thought she was much more civil than that.
