House-Hunting: Starting from scratch

Well, the other couple has decided they're not ready to commit to anything since they still have some months before they get married, so we're scrapping the duplex idea. Back to square one!

I hate house-hunting. You spend so much time and money and still come up empty handed. I'm ready to pitch a tent.

I'm sorry to hear that it is so hard to find housing there! Glad the Lord is providing a roof over our head but I know how hard it is not to be settled! Plus the frustration of trying to get things done, people met, houses even looked at...the list goes on and on. We will join in praying for this special home for you. Hope God's timing lines up with yours or vice versa soon! :)

Your situation reminds me of an old spiritual we used to sing: "Foxes have a hole, birdies have a nest, but the Son of God, He don't know where to lay His sweet head. Jehovah, Hallelujah, the Lord will provide. Jehovah, Hallelujah, the Lord will provide."

Don't you just hate it when people get all preachy in the midst of a frustrating situation?

I have this bizarre feeling that the issues that you, Mags, and I are all dealing with will resolve all at the same time. We can commiserate together, and soon we can celebrate together!
Love ya!

House hunting here was crazy too. Good houses are taken within 24 hours and most seem to go via the friendship network. We prayed 3 specific things over and over and over and God granted all 3 to us! Choose your top priorities and ask for the specifics - he will supply!
Hugs from the other Congo!
