What an extraordinary adventure! The African experience just keeps getting better and better, eh? Home on the Range ("where the deer and the antelope play") seems a little dull by comparison. Moms like dull.

I'm a firm believer that adventure is in your spirit not your circumstances. A boring person is still a boring person even if they live in an exotic country and an adventurous person will find adventure no matter where they may be. It's kind of about getting outside your comfort zone and taking risks, seeing humor in every day life, and savoring the good stuff even if it's something small.
I had read that article about the gorillas on cnn.com. Very extraordinary! I am very envious of your gorilla adventure!
Well, AMEN to that, Jessica! With that encouraging word, I think I'll just go savor a tuna fish sandwich and a walk with Carl in the cemetery.
Thank goodness you are back to blogging! Your trip looks FABULOUS - gorillas are pretty far up on my list of "oooohhhhh!!!!"
