Congo's health care system

Here's a recent article about the disastrous state of health care here in Congo-Brazzaville. This is why you're praying I don't get sick :o) Pray for my friends. I know people who have recently been in the hospitals mentioned in this article. I've been in the hospitals and can assure you, it's as bad as this article says.

Funny you should mention the nog, John. Just got my fill at a party on Saturday night! :o) But although I have a Congolese driver's license I've never driven here--no automatics!

So I guess you had a designated driver for Saturday? Good to know that... it greatly eases my mind! ;o)

Standard transmissions are more fun - you've gotta learn to drive them sometime!

I seem to recall teaching you to drive a standard on my little car Rico freshman year. All that hard work went to waste? :)

Glad I found your blog (via Eddie).

Keep up your good work there!

I totally know what you mean about the health care system there (since we lived in Kenya until about 6 months ago).
